Details of Truck Axle Remanufacturing Process
Step 1: Drive Axle Receiving & Pre-Disassembly Inspection
Drain residual axle gear oil, check axle housing deformation, oil leakage, abnormal vibration and differential damage records, mark axle model for targeted overhaul.
Step 1: Full Disassembly of Axle Core Components
Disassemble axle housing, main reducer, differential assembly, half shafts, hub bearings and brake mounting brackets; classify all gears, bearings and sealing components.
Step 3: Industrial Deep Cleaning of All Metal Parts
All axle components go through chemical degreasing, high-pressure flushing and sand blasting to remove gear sludge, rust and metal wear debris.
Step 4: Flaw Detection & Wear Tolerance Measurement
Detect axle housing cracks with magnetic particle inspection; measure main gear tooth wear, half shaft bending, bearing race abrasion and differential gap. Scrap over-tolerance gears and deformed half shafts.
Step 5: Precision Straightening & Welding Reinforcement
Hydraulically straighten slightly deformed axle housings and half shafts; weld reinforce cracked stress points on axle housing to restore structural strength.
Step 6: Full Renewal of Worn Consumables & Seals
Replace all hub bearings, main reduction bearings, differential cross pins, axle oil seals, gaskets and thrust washers with brand-new spare parts.
Step 7: Assembly & Backlash Precision Calibration
Assemble differential and main reduction gear set strictly following OEM torque standards; repeatedly adjust gear tooth backlash to eliminate abnormal vibration and noise under heavy load.
Step 8: Static Oil Leakage & Rotation Smoothness Test
Fill axle gear oil for long-time static sealing test; rotate half shafts manually to check smooth rotation without jamming or abnormal friction noise.
Step 9: Load Simulation Bench Endurance Test
Mount remanufactured axle on dedicated axle test bench, simulate full-load heavy haulage and bumpy road conditions, test long-running stability and sealing performance, record full test data.
Step 10: Anti-Corrosion Finishing & Delivery File Sorting
Clean axle exterior, spray anti-rust primer and finish paint; complete final overall inspection, archive all flaw detection and bench test records into English documents before shipment.
