Details of Tanker Truck Remanufacturing Process
Step 1: Used Truck Receiving — Overall Incoming Inspection & Condition Evaluation
We conduct systematic receiving inspection and comprehensive static evaluation for all incoming used trucks, far beyond simple exterior checking.
Professional technicians fully record all hidden defects including frame deformation, structural cracks, powertrain abnormal noise, oil and water leakage, hydraulic failure, circuit hidden troubles, suspension aging and braking attenuation.
A targeted customized remanufacturing plan is formulated according to actual truck conditions, including original superstructure reservation refurbishment, bare chassis overhaul and refit modification. All inspection data is fully archived to ensure standardized construction and eliminate defective delivery.
Step 2: Truck Disassembly — Complete Truck Dismantling & Parts Classification
Adopting industrial full disassembly standards instead of lazy partial dismantling, we completely disassemble the engine, transmission, front and rear drive axles, suspension assembly, brake system, steering mechanism, full vehicle pipelines, circuits, cab and superstructure connection structures.
All disassembled parts are numbered, sorted and strictly classified into reusable, repairable and scrapped components. Full disassembly exposes invisible internal wear, gear clearance deviation, metal fatigue and micro cracks, eliminating hidden faults caused by shallow refurbishment.
All superstructure mounting bases and reserved interfaces are completely retained for original body restoration or new customized body assembly.
Step 3: Complete Truck Cleaning — Full Truck Deep Degreasing & Descaling
All disassembled chassis components, power parts, axle accessories and sheet metal structures undergo industrial-grade deep cleaning procedures, including high-pressure water flushing, chemical degreasing, high-temperature carbon deposit removal, pipeline dredging and oxide cleaning.
Long-term accumulated sludge, coal dust, mud, residual oil and oxidized impurities are thoroughly removed.
All thread holes, fitting surfaces and internal pipeline cavities are kept completely clean, providing high-precision conditions for flaw detection, parts replacement, axle overhaul, power calibration and final assembly, greatly improving vehicle stability and durability.
Step 4: Body Rust Removal — Full Structure Derusting, Oxidation Elimination & Base Repair
Full sandblasting and oxidation removal are implemented on the entire frame, cab, chassis accessories, axle mounting supports and superstructure connection positions to completely eliminate floating rust, fixed rust and interlayer corrosion.
Welding reinforcement and surface leveling are conducted for rust-thinned and pitted areas to prevent secondary rusting and peeling.
Multi-layer anti-rust primer coating is applied to form a dense anti-corrosion protective layer, effectively resisting high-temperature sun exposure, sand and dust erosion and coastal salt fog, strengthening overall structural durability.
Step 5: Chassis Maintenance — Frame Flaw Detection, Axle/Suspension/Brake System Overhaul & Reinforcement
Magnetic particle flaw detection is performed on frame main beams and high-stress positions to inspect fatigue cracks and structural damage.
Deformed frames are precisely calibrated by hydraulic equipment to restore OEM standard geometric parameters. Complete drive axle remanufacturing is included: front and rear axles and through axles are fully disassembled to inspect final drive, differential, gears, half shafts, bearings and oil seals.
All aging sealing and worn parts are replaced, and gear clearance is recalibrated to eliminate axle abnormal noise, vibration, oil leakage and power attenuation. Meanwhile, the entire suspension system is renewed with new leaf springs, shock absorbers, bushings and pin shafts.
The full brake system is overhauled with updated brake linings, air chambers, pipelines and valves, ensuring balanced and sensitive braking performance. Key load-bearing positions are thickened and strengthened to adapt to mine and heavy-duty rugged road conditions.
Step 6: Engine and Transmission Remanufacturing — Core Powertrain Overhaul & Bench Calibration
Complete overhaul is carried out for the two core powertrain assemblies: engine and transmission gearbox.
The engine is fully disassembled with all worn pistons, piston rings, bearings, valves, oil seals and gaskets replaced. Carbon deposits are thoroughly cleaned and cylinder pressure is restored to solve common problems such as oil burning, power shortage and high-temperature abnormal noise.
The transmission is fully overhauled to replace worn gears, synchronizers and sealing parts, eliminating shifting jitter, gear jumping and slipping.
After reassembly, the powertrain undergoes long-duration bench load testing to calibrate torque output, fuel consumption and shifting smoothness.
Performance is specially optimized for Africa’s high temperature and poor fuel quality to ensure strong power, stable operation and low failure rate under heavy loads.
Step 7: Sheet Metal Repair — Full Body Shaping, Crack Welding & Structural Restoration
Professional sheet metal shaping and welding reinforcement are implemented for dents, deformation, tears, cracks and damage on the cab, frame accessories, superstructure borders and mounting brackets.
All deformed structures are restored to OEM flatness and structural strength. Thinned and weak stress areas are reinforced with additional steel plates to eliminate structural defects.
The whole truck is finely polished and leveled to ensure tight fitting and stable assembly whether retaining the original superstructure or installing brand-new customized upper equipment.
Step 8: Body Painting — Multi-Layer Weather-Resistant Anti-Corrosion Coating
The whole truck adopts standard three-layer anti-corrosion and weather-resistant painting technology: anti-rust primer sealing, intermediate coating leveling and high weather resistance topcoat finishing.
The painting covers the entire chassis, frame, cab and refurbished superstructure surfaces without thin coating, missing coating or careless spraying.
The finished paint layer features high temperature resistance, UV resistance, dustproof, waterproof and salt spray resistance, avoiding fading, peeling and cracking under long-term outdoor exposure.
Fully adapted to tropical and subtropical harsh working environments, the overall appearance and anti-corrosion performance reach factory remanufacturing standards.
Step 9: Assembly — Standardized Truck Reassembly & Precision Torque Calibration
All inspected and qualified chassis parts, power assemblies, axle modules, suspension and brake components, circuits and pipelines are reassembled strictly following OEM assembly sequence and standard torque parameters.
Every bolt, joint, pipeline and wiring harness is precisely locked and calibrated to eliminate looseness, misalignment and leakage risks.
Standard reserved interfaces for superstructure installation, hydraulic pipelines and circuit bases are fully reserved, flexibly adapting to original body restoration or brand-new customized superstructure assembly without secondary destructive modification.
Step 10: Body Equipment Preparation — Model-Specific Superstructure Restoration, Assembly & Functional Debugging
Original tanks can be derusted, anti-corrosion treated, leak-repaired, pressure-tested and safety-accessory renewed; or brand-new explosion-proof fuel tanks, water spray tanks and mixer drums can be equipped.
Professional commissioning of pump bodies, hydraulic systems, explosion-proof pipelines, safety valves and static protection devices ensures tight sealing, stable operation and zero leakage for energy transportation, municipal watering and concrete construction scenarios.
Step 11: Road Testing Quality Inspection — Full-Load Road Test & Final Factory Quality Check
All finished REMAN ROAD remanufactured trucks undergo dual strict delivery inspections: static full-function quality inspection + full-load simulated road durability test.
Static inspection comprehensively verifies engine power, transmission shifting, axle transmission, braking performance, steering accuracy, hydraulic system stability, full-vehicle circuit and superstructure sealing function.
Full-load road test simulates African rugged roads, continuous climbing and repeated working conditions with counterweight loads to verify transmission stability, braking reliability, suspension anti-vibration capacity and hydraulic cycle durability.
All trucks are 100% tested qualified before delivery, equipped with complete English overhaul reports and inspection archives to support overseas customer customs clearance, acceptance and after-sales traceability.
