Details of Tractor Truck Remanufacturing Process

Step 1: Used Truck Receiving — Overall Incoming Inspection & Condition Evaluation

We conduct systematic receiving inspection and comprehensive static evaluation for all incoming used tractor trucks, covering far more than simple exterior appearance checks.

Professional technicians fully inspect and record frame deformation, structural cracks, powertrain abnormal noise, oil and water leakage, circuit hidden troubles, suspension fatigue, braking attenuation, fifth-wheel wear and traction connection structural damage.

A targeted remanufacturing construction plan is formulated according to actual vehicle conditions and customer usage requirements. All inspection data is fully archived to ensure standardized construction and eliminate defective delivery.

Step 2: Truck Disassembly — Complete Truck Dismantling & Parts Classification

Adopting industrial full disassembly standards for tractor trucks, we completely disassemble the engine, transmission, rear drive axles, suspension assembly, full brake system, steering mechanism, vehicle pipelines, circuits, cab and fifth-wheel mounting structures.

All disassembled parts are numbered, sorted and strictly classified into reusable, repairable and scrapped components. Full disassembly thoroughly exposes internal gear wear, metal fatigue, micro cracks and hidden faults that cannot be found in partial shallow refurbishment.

All traction system mounting bases and reserved installation interfaces are completely retained for old traction equipment restoration or new customized fifth-wheel assembly installation.

Step 3: Complete Truck Cleaning — Full Truck Deep Degreasing & Descaling

All disassembled components—including chassis parts, powertrain units, axle assemblies, suspension hardware, and cab structural elements—undergo standardized, industrial-grade deep cleaning.

This process encompasses high-pressure washing, chemical degreasing, carbon deposit removal, pipeline clearing, and the elimination of oxidation and debris.

Road grime, oil sludge, dust, and oxidized deposits accumulated during long-haul operations are thoroughly removed, ensuring that all mating surfaces, threaded holes, and internal pipeline cavities are pristine and free of contaminants.

This establishes a high-standard foundation for subsequent steps—such as flaw detection, parts replacement, axle servicing, powertrain calibration, and precision assembly—thereby significantly enhancing the long-haul stability and durability of the remanufactured tractor unit.

Step 4: Body Rust Removal — Full Structure Derusting, Oxidation Elimination & Base Repair

Full sandblasting and oxidation removal treatment is implemented on the entire tractor frame, cab, chassis accessories, axle mounting supports and fifth-wheel fixed bases.

Floating rust, fixed rust and interlayer corrosion are completely eliminated. Welding reinforcement and surface leveling are carried out for rust-thinned and locally corroded areas to prevent secondary rusting.

Multi-layer professional anti-rust primer is sprayed to form a dense anti-corrosion protective layer, effectively resisting high-temperature exposure, sandstorm erosion and coastal salt fog in Africa, strengthening the overall structural durability of heavy-haul tractor trucks.

Step 5: Chassis Maintenance — Frame Flaw Detection, Axle/Suspension/Brake System Overhaul & Reinforcement

Magnetic particle flaw detection is performed on tractor frame main beams and high-stress bearing positions to inspect fatigue cracks and structural deformation. Deformed frame structures are precisely calibrated by hydraulic equipment to restore OEM standard geometric parameters.

Complete drive axle remanufacturing is fully implemented: rear drive axles are fully disassembled to inspect final drive, differential, gears, half shafts, bearings and oil seals. All aging sealing parts and worn components are replaced, and gear clearance is recalibrated to eliminate axle abnormal noise, vibration, oil leakage and power attenuation under heavy traction load.

The entire suspension system is renewed with reinforced leaf springs, heavy-duty shock absorbers, new bushings and pin shafts to adapt to long-time heavy haulage.

The full brake system is comprehensively overhauled with updated brake linings, air chambers, pipelines and valves to ensure sensitive and balanced braking performance during trailer towing. Key traction load-bearing positions are thickened and strengthened for African rugged road heavy-haul scenarios.

Step 6: Engine and Transmission Remanufacturing — Core Powertrain Overhaul & Bench Calibration

Complete deep overhaul and remanufacturing for tractor truck core powertrain assemblies: engine and transmission gearbox.

The engine is fully disassembled with all worn pistons, piston rings, bearings, valves, oil seals and gaskets replaced. Carbon deposits are thoroughly cleaned and cylinder pressure is restored to solve common problems such as oil burning, power shortage and high-temperature abnormal noise under heavy traction load.

The transmission is fully overhauled to replace worn gears, synchronizers and sealing parts, eliminating shifting jitter, gear jumping and slipping during long-distance heavy haulage.

After reassembly, the powertrain undergoes long-duration bench load testing to calibrate torque output, fuel consumption and shifting smoothness. Power performance is specially optimized for Africa’s high temperature environment and poor fuel quality to ensure sufficient traction power, stable operation and low failure rate for trailer towing.

Step 7: Sheet Metal Repair — Full Body Shaping, Crack Welding & Structural Restoration

Professional sheet metal shaping and welding reinforcement are implemented for dents, deformation, tears, cracks and damage on tractor cab, frame accessories and fifth-wheel mounting brackets.

All deformed structures are restored to OEM flatness and structural strength. Thinned and weak stress areas caused by long-term traction impact are reinforced with additional steel plates to eliminate structural hidden dangers.

The whole tractor trucks is finely polished and leveled to ensure stable and firm assembly whether retaining original traction equipment or installing brand-new customized fifth-wheel system.

Step 8: Body Painting — Multi-Layer Weather-Resistant Anti-Corrosion Coating

REMAN ROAD entire remanufactured tractor truck adopts standard three-layer anti-corrosion and weather-resistant painting technology: anti-rust primer sealing, intermediate coating leveling and high weather resistance topcoat finishing.

The painting covers the full chassis, frame, cab and traction system mounting structures without thin coating or missing coating.

The finished paint layer features high temperature resistance, UV resistance, dustproof and salt spray resistance, avoiding fading, peeling and cracking under long-term outdoor high-intensity operation.

It fully adapts to Africa’s tropical high-temperature and dusty logistics environment, ensuring long-term anti-corrosion performance and neat appearance of heavy-duty tractor trucks.

Step 9: Assembly — Standardized Truck Reassembly & Precision Torque Calibration

All inspected and qualified chassis parts, power assemblies, axle modules, suspension and brake components, circuits and pipelines are reassembled strictly following OEM assembly sequence and standard torque parameters.

Every bolt, joint, pipeline and wiring harness is precisely locked and calibrated to eliminate looseness, misalignment and leakage risks.

All reserved mounting interfaces for fifth-wheel traction system, auxiliary circuits and air pipelines are pre-arranged and fixed, flexibly adapting to original traction equipment restoration or brand-new customized fifth-wheel assembly without secondary destructive modification.

Step 10: Body Equipment Preparation — Tractor Traction System Restoration & Professional Debugging

According to customer demands and actual truck conditions, we support both original old traction system refurbishment and brand-new customized fifth-wheel assembly installation, with exclusive professional debugging for heavy-duty tractor trucks.

Tractor Truck Configuration: The original fifth-wheel traction seat, support legs, traction locking mechanism and connecting accessories can be derusted, reinforced, repaired and functionally debugged; or brand-new heavy-duty customized fifth-wheel assembly can be installed and positioned accurately.

Complete traction locking calibration, pressure testing and anti-shake debugging are carried out to ensure stable traction, flexible locking and unlocking, no shaking or offset during high-speed and heavy-load trailer towing.

All auxiliary towing circuits, air pipelines and brake linkage systems are fully commissioned to match various semi-trailers, meeting African long-distance heavy-haul logistics transportation requirements.

Step 11: Road Testing Quality Inspection — Full-Load Road Test & Final Factory Quality Check

All REMAN ROAD remanufactured tractor trucks undergo dual strict delivery inspections: static full-function quality inspection + full-load simulated towing road durability test.

Static inspection comprehensively verifies engine traction power, transmission shifting stability, axle transmission efficiency, braking performance, steering accuracy, full-vehicle circuit and traction system locking function.

The full-load road test adopts counterweight and trailer simulation to restore real heavy-haul working conditions, testing climbing performance, high-speed stability, suspension anti-vibration capacity and brake linkage sensitivity.

All tractor trucks are 100% tested qualified before delivery, equipped with complete English overhaul reports and inspection archives to support overseas customer customs clearance, acceptance and after-sales traceability.
